Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American television chef and host. She also was an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef, with her trademark spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell studied and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. After earning an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. She says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I loved every minute of it." It was impossible to take enough pleasure from it. Following graduation, Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year studying at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to improve the lives of kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. She talks about her culinary passion, and also shares her expertise in the culinary world when she is in the United States for the roles of speaker and mentor. Anne said she felt lucky that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with others.
