Mena Alexa Suvari was born in 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actor. Soon after she began her acting career, Mena Alexandra Suvari appeared as an actress in the 1990s on television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. In 1997 she debuted as a film actor on Nowhere. Her performances on American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to get an award called a BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned her greater attention as she stepped into more prominent roles. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the title role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama from 2002 and the thriller movie Trauma (2004), were the two films she has made her most recent appearances. She also appeared in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award in 2005 as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. The show also featured her in the film version of Day of Dead as well as The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh and in the film version of The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous blog and fashion publications, including Vogue. Suvari is an official Lancome model and appears on print advertisements of Lancome Paris Adaptive. She has backed and served as an advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years. She has modeled many prominent brands, including Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada as well as the Olympics.
